Fly or drive into Albany (ALB). The best time to arrive is between around Noon-3PM. However if you can save a substantial amount by arriving a few hours earlier or later, then do so.

We will pick you up at the airport and bring you to a local hotel (TBD)

Hike 1.7 steep and strenuous miles to intersection of Trail 66 and trail 71

Hike 0.4 miles above tree line to Algonquin Peak, elevation 5114', the 2nd highest peak in the State of New York

Hike 0.4 miles to Trail 66

Hike 0.7 miles along Trail 66 above tree line to Iroquois Peak, elevation 4840'

Hike 3.0 miles back to Beaver Point

Camp at Beaver Point Lean-To, elevation 2760'

This is the official end of the trip. You are welcome to spend the night at the hotel, however if you drove and would like to get on the road or if you flew and would like to schedule a late flight (or a red-eye if this is a West Coast trip) you can definitely do so.
