to pick up last minute missing equipment

Drive or shuttle to CT route 4 in Cornwall, just west of the Housatonic River past Cornwall

Hike 0.8 miles on the Breadloaf Mountain Trail
Hike 5.7 miles to Pine Swamp Brook Lean-To, elevation 1200'

Hike over Bear Mountain, elevation 2316', highest summit completely within the State of Connecticut.
Cross over into Massachusetts
Views at Bear Mountain Lookout and Bear Rock Falls.
Camp at Bear Rock Falls Campsite, elevation 1700'
Mileage Today: 4.8 miles. Total to Date: 32.7 miles
Possible bailout: No good options. Back to CT route 41 via Undermountain Trail or Paradise Lane Trail
